Random tip if you struggle with brain fog / mental tiredness:
Certain carbs can lead to blood sugar spikes and crashes - which creates mental fogginess :/
Blood sugar levels have a significant impact on brain chemistry; the foods we eat can help sustain steady levels of blood sugar, or induce sugar crashes, sugar spikes that can cause feelings of fogginess, anxiousness, depression, lack of focus or apathy.
๐๐ผ foods that spike your insulin will cause this effect.
Eating too much of these foods- will lead to insulin resistance and diabetes.
A good rule of thumb is to eat a LOT of protein ๐ฅฉ๐๐ฅ๐ณ๐ (it takes the longest and most amount of calories to digest) and eat complex carbs ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐๐๐ that donโt spike your blood sugar all that much.
Also- avoid eating until full, especially from highly refined ๐๐๐๐๐ฐ๐ฅฎ and processed foods.
